Porsche 911 GT3 Gets Full Body Paint Protection Film and Ceramic Coating In Lindon

At Stokes Auto Spa, every vehicle that comes through our doors gets treated with the highest level of care and precision—but there's something extra special about working on a machine like the Porsche 911 GT3. Built for performance and designed to turn heads, the GT3 is more than just a car—it's a statement. And when an owner trusts us with one, we make sure that trust is well-placed.

Recently, we had the privilege of working on this stunning Porsche 911 GT3, performing a premium paint protection film (PPF) installation on key impact areas, followed by a full ceramic coating over the film for enhanced durability and ease of maintenance. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at what we did—and why it matters.

The Challenge: Protecting a High-Performance Finish

Porsche’s paint quality is among the best in the industry—but that doesn’t make it immune to rock chips, road debris, or Utah’s unpredictable driving conditions. With aggressive aerodynamics and a low stance, the GT3 is especially vulnerable to damage in high-impact zones. Not only is the front bumper, hood and forward facing areas of the car susceptible to damage from rock chips and road debris, but so is the roof, the doors, rear quarter panels, and the rear bumper. The last thing you would want to do on a luxury performance vehicle like the GT3 is have to repaint a panel due to damage that could be prevented. Repainting would drastically reduce the value of a car such as this.

This owner came to us looking for a solution that would preserve the showroom look of the car without compromising its clean, track-inspired design. Our answer? A custom-wrapped PPF installation tailored specifically for the GT3 and adding a ceramic coating over the top of the PPF to increase longevity of the film, deepen the shine, and enhance the gloss like you would not believe. Our goal was to ensure that this beautiful machine was protected in the best way possible for many, many years to come!

Step One: Precision PPF Installation

This Porsche GT3 came to us already having paint protection film installed on the hood, front bumper, front fenders, and mirrors. For this project, we wanted to give full coverage to the GT3 so we installed paint protection film on the following areas:

  • Doors – Constant exposure to road debris and daily use makes these a must.
  • Rear Quarter Panels – Wide rear fenders on the GT3 catch a lot of blowback from the tires.
  • Roof – Often overlooked, but crucial for preventing etching from environmental fallout. Not to mention, this car sits so low the roof becomes a target for high velocity rocks.
  • Rear Bumper – A high-impact zone for both road debris and minor contact during parking.

Every panel was carefully cleaned, prepped, polished, clay treated, and installed in a controlled environment to ensure a flawless, bubble-free result. We used top-tier, self-healing film that offers clarity, flexibility, and long-term durability—keeping the Porsche’s curves as sharp and clean as they were the day it rolled out of the factory.

Step Two: Ceramic Coating Over PPF

To take protection to the next level, we applied a professional-grade ceramic coating over all of the installed PPF. Why? Because while PPF protects against physical damage, ceramic coating adds a hydrophobic, chemical-resistant layer that:

  • Makes washing easier and safer
  • Reduces the risk of water spots and etching
  • Helps maintain clarity and cleanliness of the film
  • Enhances gloss and depth for an incredible finish

Ceramic coating over PPF is a powerful combination that gives vehicle owners the best of both worlds: impact protection and long-term surface preservation. When you think of the top tier of protection, the combination of paint protection film and a ceramic coating is as good as it gets to protect luxury vehicles here in Utah. In fact, it’s our most recommended package for high-end cars like the GT3.

The Final Result

The results speak for themselves. The GT3 left our shop looking even better than it arrived—flawless, ultra-glossy, and protected from whatever the road throws at it. Best of all, the owner can now enjoy this incredible car without worrying about rock chips, UV fading, or swirl marks from improper washes. This peace-of-mind is what luxury vehicle owners in Utah seek- knowing that they can drive their high-end vehicles without having to worry about damage from Utah roads.

Why This Matters for Your Vehicle

You don’t have to own a GT3 to benefit from the same level of protection. At Stokes Auto Spa, we apply the same precision and care to every vehicle we touch—whether it’s a daily driver, weekend cruiser, or full-blown track weapon. Our passion is giving you the best possible customer experience and treating your vehicle as if it was our own.

If you're considering PPF or ceramic coating, here’s what you gain:

  • Long-term protection from road rash, UV, and contaminants. Utah roads are notorious for being a place where your vehicle is attacked. Trucks and trailers carrying dirt are often seen on the highway with large rocks bouncing on the road behind them and often these rocks hit sensitive areas of your vehicle like your hood, front bumper, roof, and mirrors. PPF will help to keep your vehicle shielded against that.
  • Better resale value by maintaining paint condition. We all know that a shiny, well-maintained car gets a lot more attention and a higher price when it comes to selling it. Because PPF and ceramic coatings keep Utah cars looking showroom quality, they hold their value better compared to cars that aren't protected by these services at Stokes Auto Spa.
  • A superior finish that stays glossier and cleaner for longer. We love having repeat clients bring in their cars that have been protected because the level of detailing and cleaning needed to maintain these vehicles is cut in half. Our client's cars stay cleaner longer and are so much easier to clean when the time comes. This cuts down your cost as a car owner in Utah when it comes to maintaining and caring for your ride.
  • Peace of mind knowing your investment is protected. New cars (and even used cars for that matter) have increased drastically in price over the last few years. More Utahns are keeping their car longer than they have in the past and want to keep their investment protected and looking as best as it possible can. Stokes Auto Spa is here to give you peace of mind knowing that your car can look just as good in 10 years as it did the day you bought it with our vehicle protection packages.
